The 877-WHY-ISLAM project was launched in 1999 by volunteers associated with the Islamic Circle of North America (I.C.N.A.). It derives inspiration from the following Quranic verse.

The 877-WHY-ISLAM hotline is accessible 24/7. Professional and courteous attendants answer questions by curious and, sometimes, enraged callers.

www.whyislam.org offers various articles and videos on Islam's basics, history, and social issues. You can order free literature, start email correspondence, or join the interactive forum.

Why Islam has published brochures on various topics, including the Concept of God, Women in Islam, Sanctity of Life, and Human Rights. Brochures are also available in Spanish and Chinese.
